There is no code to write in Excel to get the data from the PLC. The ExcelLink software is configured by the user using some menu to define the actions and it will automatically fill the Excel spreadsheet cells with the desired data.

Your Excel spreadsheet is itself a DDE server. So you could use other Windows products such as SQL to get data from the Excel file whose data is being updated by the ExcelLink program periodically.

: Can I send information of the production such as counters,stop reasons, time, etc. directly to Microsoft SQL?
