4.1 is DOS Version and Windows XP generally does not permit DOS program to run properly. Even if you could install it you will not be able to download program to the PLC because XP will block DOS program from direct access to the serial port (this is the same as Windows NT or 2000).

Try to find an old PC - TL41.exe runs lightning fast even on a 16MHz 80286 PC. If you must run it off your giga hertz machine, then get a floppy disk formatted to start up in either DOS 6.22, Windows 95 or Windows 98 or even ME (you can create a start up disk from a Windows 95, 98 or ME PC, then delete all the rest of the files on the floppy except the command.exe). Then copy the entire DOS TRiLOGI directory to the floppy disk. You can then boot the PC into pure DOS mode which will allow you to run the DOS program.

Important: Please don't save data file to the harddisk. I am not sure whether the XP harddisk file system will be affected if you attempt to save DOS file to them. Depending on your version of XP, your harddisk may not be available when you boot up using a DOS diskette (because they use NTFS instead of FAT or FAT32).

: I have the editor version 4.1 ,but I can't install it in my computer. It has windows Xp.What can I do??
